Beaumont Transport History

Established in Ipswich in 1970, Beaumont Transport Pty Ltd has grown from a small two-truck operation to a major industry force employing more than 220 people.

Based at Tivoli, the company services a wide area of Queensland and New South Wales and continues to expand and diversify its operations.

Much of Beaumont’s success can be attributed to the experience and hands on management style of its founder and director, Richie Beaumont.

The son of a passenger transport operator, Richie grew up in the transport trade and started his own bulk haulage business from behind the wheel of a tipper carting coal for a local colliery.

Over the years, he continued to acquire small transport operations to complement his business and allow it to diversify into other areas including pneumatic tankers.

Richie’s experience under the bonnet has also led to the establishment of a fully equipped workshop at the company’s Tivoli headquarters to service and repair the entire Beaumont fleet.
